OUR FOUNDER

WARREN J. KATZ

Warren was taken from all of us at Global way too soon. His creativity, drive, and passion to provide the very best for our clients continue to inspire all of us at Global Scenic Services to do the very best for our clients and for each other.

Hard work, loyalty, constant learning and improvement were foundational to Warren’s approach to leadership and professional development.

He founded Global Scenic Services in 2006 when he purchased Atlas Scenic Studios, a small scenery shop in Bridgeport, CT. And over the past 10 years developed Global into a 45 person highly regarded industry leader serving various segments of the entertainment industry from its 45,000 square foot production facility in Bridgeport.

Warren graduated from Purchase College, SUNY, with a BFA, Theatre Arts & Film in 1993 and immediately began building his career as an Assistant Technical Director at the New York City Opera. After five years, Warren took this valuable experience with him to Showman Fabricators and became one of Showman’s leading Account Executives. And it was in 2006, that Warren’s entrepreneurial spirit got the best of him and his journey with Global Scenic Services began.

In a very short period of time, Warren developed Global Scenic Services into one of the most highly regarded full-service production facilities in the United States, having built a production portfolio including everything from top-tier Broadway productions like How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Hand to God to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to NBC television’s Peter Pan Live.

All of us at Global deeply miss Warren. We will always remember him for his quick wit, his desire to perform at his best, and for his friendship and his loyalty. It is with these traits in mind that we will continue to build Global Scenic Services in his memory.
